You said you were tired, but you ended up talking all night long
You said you were right, but the mistakes you’ve done proved you wrong
You said that you knew the answer, but you havent really known the question
You said that you were up-to-date, but the clothes that you wear really out of fashion
You said that you’ll be a true friend, but in the end you never showed compassion
You said that you knew the direction, but look now you got stuck at the intersection
You said that you wanted someone to hold on to, but all you wanted was gold and silver
You said that you were feeling warm, but you think i cant see your hands shiver
You said that you were in great shape, but look at you, your face pale with yellow fever
You said that you didnt beleive in love. But i’m standing here watching you go away with that other man
In the end,
It’s  not what you say, its in what you do
You said my feelings for you was just a lie, but today i stand here to prove them true
