The broken pot

The story of the broken pot teaches us a lesson in our lives.
it teaches us to be happy with who we are
it teaches us not to complain about life

the story of the broken pot goes about like this..

there were two pots
one pot was perfectly shape round and big and strong
the second pot was pefectly shape too, except that it had a small hole at the bottom of the pot
and these two pots were used by a farmer to carry water from the well back to the village
there was no properly water and irrigation in the village,
therefore the farmer had to carry water in these two pots from the well to the village.
so everytime the farmer would go to the well,
he would bring back the first pot full of water
and the second pot would not be so full of water, and that it would consist only half of the water

so tired of not being able to fullfill its purpose as a pot,
the second pot complained to god..
he said why was i made with a hole..and why i cannot be as perfect as the other pot
why me?
and then god answered
when u'll go to the well tommorow,
look at the path that u take coming back from the well to the village
and so without further questioning,
the pot did as God told it to do so

so on the left hand side of the path, it was clearly just soil and dust
but on the right side of the path, there were a row of beautiful roses that had grown
they looked fresh and so fertile.

so not being able to meet with god told him it to do so,
the pot asked god again
why me? why? why ?
god asked it, what it saw on the path?
and so the pot told god exactly what it did see
and then god answered
all the fresh and fertile flowers were watered by you
the hole in you made gave the flowers the water they needed

listening to god's answer
the pot became silent and thanked god for everything


Moral of the story:
1)sometimes we have a very narrow point of view
we do not see the big picture

2) when we communicate with god, he never gives us the answer right away
he answers us, but we use our own powers instead of understanding god's power to answer the problems that we face in life
